Service Engineers Limited is an established privately owned mechanical and heavy engineering contractor founded over 30 years ago. Over the last 15 years, the company's involvement within the Water and Waste Water Treament sectors has increased to the point where we are now regarded as one of the top mechanical contractors in the industry with ongoing contracts in potable, waste water and associated fields, for both the public and private sectors, nationally and internationally.

Disciplines

Service Engineers Limited has a broad base of engineering staff including specialist toolmakers and machinists, coded welders and formally qualified project managers and design engineers. Their skills are typically applied in the following areas:

• Project Control and planning using Microsoft Project and job cost management systems.
• Design and Detailing of Ancillary equipment, e.g. tanks, vessels, pipe-work, supports, etc.
• Development of work methodologies, weld procedures and statutory compliance documentation.
• Fabrication, machining, assembly.
• Site installation
• Health and Safety documentation and implementation.

Management Skills

Service Engineers Limited has a staff of around 60 people including engineering/technical trades and administration. This gives us the flexibility in providing people to meet the need for the short-term increases in site numbers during special situations - changeovers etc. Service Engineers Limited has a strong reputation as being a competent and professional project management contracting company.

Subcontractors

Service Engineers Limited tries to use the same group of subcontractors on their projects. We prefer to rely on known companies with whom we have a track record; however, from time to time this is not possible or practicable. We have developed a good relationship with key subcontractors, the most important being electrical, and as our work is spread over New Zealand and the Pacific, we do have subcontractors outside Auckland with whom we have worked successfully.

Health and Safety

Service Engineers Limited endeavours to take a pro-active role in health and safety, staff have completed Site Safe Training programs and are encouraged at all levels to raise health and safety issues. A copy of our Health and Safety Policy and Manual is available on request.

Compliance Systems

Service Engineers Limited operates an internal Quality Assurance System in line with ISO standards but more importantly in line with statutory requirements. Our projects often involve working in hazardous areas or fabricating plant that must comply with statutory requirements such as pressure vessels and tanks. As such we have developed very robust systems for recording and documenting these projects.
