In 2000, Service Engineers Limited replaced its existing profile cutter with a Kinetic 3000 CNC machine, and establised The Metal Centre as a wholly owned, stand-alone business unit.

In 2009, The Metal Centre installed a 400T Amada Press Brake which allows for fast, accurate and cost effective folding ranging from complex shapes produced via SAC software to simple production run jobs.

The Metal Centre fulfils the majority of Service Engineers plate supply and cutting requirements, and also provides plate-cutting services to a number of clients throughout the North Island.
